CINEMATOPEDIA, How cinema can act as a tool that expands the culture

5 Lessons 18 Chapters 1 Exercise

Cinematopedia’s e-learning course aims to present to young people and facilitators who work with young people, the project’s methodology on how cinema can act as a tool that expands the culture, creativity, self-knowledge and sociality of a young person.

Through Cinematopedia’s methodology, we achieve this by putting young people in the posistion of the viewer but also in that of the creator. We learn the history of European cinema and the tools through which we can select the films we see, but at the same time we learn the parts that make up a film and we do creative exercises to inspire young people who will find expression through this medium interesting.

To do the above, we use films as case studies. First for a general picture which gives the basic knowledge and then to analyse the different parts that make up a film. Welcome to Cinematopedia’s course!
