At the centre of this programme is Forum Theatre, a participatory method created by Augusto Boal. In Forum Theatre, the audience is not just watching a story—they can step into the scene, change what happens, and experiment with different solutions. In MYndTheater, this method is adapted to digital issues, allowing youth workers and young people to explore real problems that appear online and to practise safer, healthier responses.
This first module introduces the basic ideas of MYndTheater: how it connects mental health, digital awareness, and creative theatre techniques. Youth workers will learn why Forum Theatre is a powerful tool for discussing sensitive topics, encouraging dialogue, and building empathy. Through practical examples and simple exercises, participants will see how theatre can help young people express their emotions, understand their own reactions, and find positive ways to deal with online difficulties.
By the end of this introduction, youth workers will understand the goals of the programme and how they can use Forum Theatre in their own work. The aim is to help them support young people in an active, creative, and meaningful way—giving them space to speak, reflect, and build confidence in the digital age.
